CHECK THE TYPE OF PROPERTY YOU'RE BUYING



A fraction registered for trading or services cannot be used for residential proposes, and vice versa.


First: You should seek information from the municipal council, or the Portuguese Tax office (Financas), which is the purpose that the property is registered. (i. e. is it registered as residential or is a commercial property)


Second: Check the status of the fraction you want to purchase if it is free of liens, foreclosures or leases.
